Privacy notice

In short

kaihou is a private hobby project. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or ads, and loads nothing from third parties. The web server keeps short-lived access logs, and that is all.

Who is responsible

Stefan Langner, slaxmtk@protonmail.com

What the server logs

Each request is written to an access log: time, requested page, status code, your browser's user agent and your IP address, shortened to its first three parts (IPv6: first 48 bits), for example 203.0.113.0. This serves the secure operation of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Hosting

The site runs on a virtual server that I operate myself at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in Frankfurt, Germany. The name kaihou.duckdns.org is provided by DuckDNS, the HTTPS certificate by Let's Encrypt. The certificate lists the site's name in a public register. Neither service receives your visit.

Cookies and tracking

None. Fonts, images and scripts all come from this server.

If you write to me

I use your message and address only to reply and keep them as long as needed for that. Mail goes through Proton Mail (Switzerland).

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your data, and object to its processing (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Write to the address above. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Hessischer Beauftragter für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
